 Personal Statement

The challenge of life is to balance passion and necessity, finding a way to make ends meet while continuously exploring and fulfilling your dreams.  Success is not an accumulation of things, but the ability to find true happiness. If you are a good person,  impeccable with your word, and always strive to do your best - even mistakes can deliver lessons that achieve personal growth , leading to a more vibrant personality & new rewarding experiences.

The meaning of my art….

My goal is to transform everyday life into my own vision, taking my interests to a new level of imagination.  To be able to look or imagine something and transform it as an artistic expression helps me to encompass my own emotions and beliefs in my work.  I interpret many of these ideas to be my truest expressions. Quite often than not, the picture does not end up to be what I had initially imagined: This is the impact of everyday life.

I’m hoping that a viewer will be able to look at my work and incorporate their own ideas to complete a more personal “experience” - Challenging the viewer to gain as much as they can from their own life/experience and  relate it to my artistic interpretations.

Influences

Art.  I am intrigued by the masters, particularly Salvador Dali and Van Gogh.  Both had a unique vision of the world and the ability to envelope both texture and depth in to the work.

Music.  Music plays a major role in my life.  Although I am not much of a musician (but I keep on practicing), music captivates me. Music in its most simplistic form is the art of making noise – using  different tones and pitches together to engulf space with energy.   It is that energy that surrounds us and provides the mechanism to transport our thought.
