The Back Yard Art Project

The Summer of 2008 started with an idea to paint a mural on the back of the garage at our new home in Denver, CO.

Once I started working out there, I realized that there were a number of other possibilities to create an outdoor living area.

I've always wanted to have a backyard where you feel like you are on vacation every time you step outside (yet in the privacy of your very own home);

So I decided to start making it a reality.

Unfortunately I killed most of my grass around the work area, so I'll have to re-sod this summer.

I also plan to do some additional stonework by the back fence and in front of the work shed,

topping it all off by finishing the mural on the entry door side of the garage.

Add a few amenities (ceiling fan, additional sun shade, small fountain, speaker/music system) & some plants in the beds ....
